Adam Miskiewicz: Lead Web Developer

To say that Adam was destined to become involved with computers and programming is an understatement. When other newborns were receiving balloons and teddy bears, he received a Macintosh Portable. It’s a good thing Adam was a strong baby, because at 17 pounds, the Portable was a bit heavier than any bottle or stuffed animal. Alright, that story isn’t exactly true, but Adam has been programming since age eight, and received his first computer at the age of five (five?!), an Acer Aspire 575LB loaded with Windows 95, a 75 MHz processor, 32 MB of Ram, an 800 MB hard drive, and not a USB port in sight.

Adam hasn’t settled on simply being a precocious programmer. He’s refined his abilities through work and education. At the Conserve Boarding School in Land O’ Lakes, Wisconsin, he gained network management skills and was responsible for building an asset management web application to monitor hardware inventory. Academically, Adam’s been just as impressive, becoming a member of Michigan Technological University’s Honors Institute and winning several awards, most notably the Rensselaer Math and Science Medal.

With Level2Designs since December 2007, Adam has been thrilled with his role as Lead Web Developer and Front End Architect because he’s doing what he loves and getting paid to do it. He loves to work with cutting edge technologies and his vast knowledge of programming languages and operating systems has prepared him for success. Adam’s also a bit of an architect outside of work, preparing culinary creations from steak to tuna tetrazzini and jamming out on the keyboard – the one that plays music that is.
