Too often when we visit a website we are bombarded with clutter. We go to a website in search of something specific and instead we are bombarded with ads, colors, text, things flying around the screen, and those ever annoying popups. For some reason pages tend to get stuffed with content, even if irrelevant to the overall purpose of the site. Other pages try to impress with fancy graphics or animations, which are nice if used intelligently, however overuse of effects and animations is easy to fall into. Of all the websites I have been to, the one's that impress me the most are the ones who leave all the junk out. A website is supposed to be easy to navigate, easy on the eyes, and have a clear overall purpose that is maintained throughout the site. If there is one suggestion I can give to everyone who owns, works on, or is thinking about making a website... keep it simple. I've been to some sites recently that have followed this idea and they have really impressed me. Here are few of the good ones:
