If you have teenagers…Well, let’s be fair: If you have any connection to the social media world, I’m sure you’ve heard of Twitter. For all the hype though, I’d have to say the greater power of Twitter has been neglected – the power of word of mouth.
Twitter is not your everyday paid advertising. It isn’t an SEO (search engine optimization) scheme to get you in Google’s top ten results. However, it connects with everyday people, professionals, celebrities, and social media fiends alike. In 140 characters, you have the power to communicate with millions (or however many followers you might obtain).
For the SEOers out there, Twitter is search engine friendly. An addition was added recently to member profiles that included their name and username in the meta tag information. Have a Twitter account already? Go on, Google your name…
